Add location drawings & manage their details (Premium & Enterprise plans only)

Description:

This article covers adding drawings/schematics to your project locations. This allows you to pin your items to them providing better clarity on their exact location.

Notes:

• The term Drawing may have been customised to something more relevant to your workflow under the project settings.
• Only Project Admins and Internal users are able to add and manage locations and location drawings. Other users can only view the location drawings.
• Location drawings are not available on Starter and Personal plans.

Guide:

1. Adding a drawing to a project location

1.1. From the home screen go to Your project.

1.2. You will now be presented with the project overview screen.

1.3. Scroll down to the Locations header.

1.4. Tap on the location that you would like to add a drawing to. Alternatively set up a new location, see Set up and edit project locations.

1.5. Tap Open image library (or Browse files if you are on desktop) to open your file explorer and choose either a PDF, JPEG or PNG file. Alternatively, you can drag and drop your file onto the dotted area.

Note: PDFs must only contain one page.

1.6. Enter details about the file. You must enter a title, you may also include a reference and revision. Tap the ✓ in the top right of your screen when you are done.

 

1.7. To save your changes make sure to tap the ✓ in the top right of the Manage location page. The location will now be updated and the drawing will be available when you associate this location with an item. Next, see Adding locations to items and pinning on drawings.

 

2. Updating the details of a location drawing

2.1. Go to the location associated with the drawing that you would like to amend the details for.

2.2. Tap on the ☰ icon to reveal the actions available on the drawing. Tap on Drawing details to open the Manage drawing page.

 

2.3. Enter/update the details of the file under the Details heading. You must enter a title, you may also include a reference and revision. Tap the ✓ in the top right of your screen when you are done.

 

2.4. To save your changes make sure to tap the ✓ in the top right of the Manage location page. The location will now be updated and the new drawing details will be saved. Next, see Adding locations to items and pinning on drawings.
