Two-factor authentication (2FA) can be used to improve the security of your account. When you enable this feature, you will be asked to provide a 6-digit code when you sign in to Insite (in addition to your normal password).
To enable 2FA, you must use an authenticator app capable of generating valid One-Time Passwords (OTP) codes, such as Google Authenticator.
This article describes how to enable and disable 2FA for your account.
1. Enabling two-factor authentication
1.1. From the home screen go to Menu > Profile > Manage account details
1.2. Choose Enable two-factor authentication.
1.3. Enter your account password. If you have forgotten your password you can tap Forgot password? and follow the steps to reset your password.
1.4. You will now be presented with a QR code. You can either scan this with your phone via your authenticator app, or if you can't scan the code, use Can't scan the code? below the QR code to get a TOTP secret which you can manually enter into the authenticator app.
1.5. After following step 1.4. your authenticator app should provide you with a 6-digit code that refreshed every 30 seconds. Copy the latest version and enter it into the input field under Step 2: Enter the 6-digit code. This will verify the connection and your account will now be protected with 2FA.
2. Disabling two-factor authentication
2.1. From the home screen go to Menu > Profile > Manage account details
2.2. Choose Disable two-factor authentication.
2.3. Enter your account password and tap Disable 2FA. If you have forgotten your password you can tap Forgot password? and follow the steps to reset your password.
