Description:
Insite provides several fields for items out of the box. These include images, title, description, due date, assignees, locations, status, priority and comments.
In some instances, you might not need all of these fields. Therefore, we have made it possible to turn off the item fields by creating reusable 'Item field sets'.
You can determine which field set should be used on a list to create a more streamlined audit process. This article describes the process for using custom fields sets on new and existing lists. For details on creating or updating custom field sets, see Customising the item fields.
Notes:
- In order to use a custom field set, you must first create them under the project settings, see Customising the item fields. Only Project Admins can access the Item field sets part of the project settings and therefore other users cannot create or update custom them.
Guide:
1. From the home screen go to Your project - see Create a project.
2. You will now be presented with the project overview screen.
3. Go to Lists.
4. Find the list that you would like to use the field set on. Or alternatively, you can create a new list, see Create a list.
5. Tap on the Reports & Details tab and open the list details.
6. Scroll down to find the Item fields option under the Settings header.
7. You will now be able to choose from the custom item field sets that are available on the project (see Customising the item fields for details on how to create these).
8. Tap Save in the top right of your screen when you are done. Your list will now be using the custom field set that you selected in step 7 and the fields will be hidden on the items.
